A UNIQUE PROGRAM

Laramie Valley Chapel, located in Laramie, WY, saw the need for an accredited seminary program closer to home.

They wanted to provide men and women with a sound biblical education, intrusive discipleship, and fully integrate the program into the local church. Shepherds Theological Seminary and Laramie Valley Chapel worked together to create a truly unique program. The result of their efforts was the creation of The WEST Institute, a fully accredited seminary program.

An Accredited Seminary For All

The WEST Institute is beneficial for believers heading into any line of work, not just future full-time ministers.  Students earn an accredited 42-hour Master of Theological Studies degree from Shepherds Theological Seminary and are prepared to better serve in their local church, minister to their coworkers, and lead their family.  If anyone should desire to continue their education, all classes transfer into the Master of Divinity program. M. Div. classes will be taken through Shepherds Theological Seminary in Cary, NC.

We strive to stretch students in their faith through intensive study of the Bible, living in community, and experiencing God’s creation in outdoor pursuits.  Through this one-year program students equip themselves for a more effective life of ministry.
